Grab Peers Checklist; How to’s answered

Above Article Content Ad

I have seen numerous questions which are asked several times in the Facebook group of GrabCar Peers, again and again. These questions pops up many times in a day and usually are the same old questions from both old and new operators or Peers as called by Grab Car.

Since its legalization in the Philippines, many were encouraged to join the bandwagon, converting their private vehicles either part-time or full-time ride-sharing operators.

So to help would-be Grab Car operators or Peers, I am writing this blog post to answer most of the usual questions asked without having to publish confidential information. (I might get banned and kick off from the FB group, hehe! Ohh, it happened already but was resolved.)

Before we proceed, the first question that should be answered is … How to apply up as Grab Car operator. I already wrote a blog post about it, and you can find it here:

Once you are registered as Grab Peer (Operator), there are other tools that you may need in order assist you further in your operation. These tools are necessary if you feel it is time for you to expand your business, it can be additional driver or car, request access to the “dashboard” which is called by GrabCar as “Gamma”, or request for “Top up”, or simply customer service-related concern.

Terminologies

Gamma Access is the term used by Grab for the dashboard given to Peers, in this dashboard you can see the number of trips done by the driver, you can monitor the actual location of your driver and many more. Gamma Access is not automatically given to Peers, you should request this from Grab Car.

Top up is a term used when it is time for you to add virtual money to your driver’s celphone with GrabCar driver’s app. Upon accreditation, GrabCar will provide you a smartphone with a temporary load called virtual money. This initial load is where the percent share of Grab is deducted from the fare of the passenger. Once your balance is low, you need to top up.

Peer is an accredited operator of Grab Car, he or she have passed the stringent application process of Grab Car.
