Huawei finally announced their latest flagship smartphone, the Mate 10 family with spectacular features, primarily on the implementation of new chipset, the Al-powered Kirin 970, dual-camera lenses with f/1.6 aperture and the display. Let us see one by one.
The Huawei Mate 10 maintains the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio on its 5.9-inch near bezel-less screen with QHD resolution, adding the HDR10 compliant for a noteworthy viewing experience. Besides, the main highlight is the new chipset. the HiSilicon Kirin 970 fabricated in a 10 nm FinFet and ARM big.LITTLE architecture, comprising four Cortex-A73 with maximum frequency of up to 2.4Ghz, and four Cortex-A53 boasts at 1.8Ghz. This new processor brings 25x better performance and 50x more efficient. It is paired by a Mali-G72 12-core GPU clocks at 850 Mhz and the first NPU (neutral processing unit), focusing on Al-based duties.
Retaining its collaboration with Leica, the Huawei Mate 10 series has a dual-camera lens setup. The primary 12-megapixel RGB with optical image stabilization and the secondary 20-megapixel monochrome sensors. Both are featuring an f/1.6 aperture, Al-powered Portrait Mode and Al-powered 2X Digital Zoom. Selfie camera keeps in an 8-megapixel lens with f/2.0 aperture.
Fingerprint scanner is located at the front panel, below the screen. Adding the protection, the handset is certified IP53 – splash resistant and it features a 3.5 mm audio jack, which we cannot find in the “Pro” model.
The Mate 10’s operating system is the recently-announced Android 8.0 “Oreo” sitting in the company’s EMUI 8.0, Storage is only 64GB, though expandable via microSD card up to 256GB, while the RAM is 4GB LPDDR4X. Battery-wise, the smartphone packs a large 4,000 mAh li-polymer non-removable, with support of HUAWEI’s SuperCharge technology. It can re-charge the device from 1 percent to 20 percent in just 10 minutes and from 1 percent to 58 percent in 30 minutes only.

The Huawei Mate 10 will come in a single-SIM and dual-SIM models and will be released first by the end of October 2017 in the following countries, priced at €699.

Apart from the standard Mate 10, we have the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. It follows the trend of 18:9 aspect ratio, similar to other flagship phones like LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8 on its 6.0-inch FullView display with Full HD+ and a more vibrant OLED screen. In spite of, the headphone jack is now gone while the bezels are thinning down with slightly curved glass at the back. It’s now certified IP67, which means, water and dust resistant. Averse on the standard variant, the Mate 10 Pro comes in two storage capacity, 64GB with 4GB RAM and the more 128GB plus 6GB RAM. Other specs are homogeneous to the Mate 10: the Kirin 970 chipset, 3D glass, 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel dual back camera sensors made by Leica optics, 8-megapixel front camera, a large 4,000 mAh battery with Huawei SuperCharge technology and Android v8.0 “Oreo” with EMUI 8.0 on top of it.
The Mate 10 Pro will be available in three different colors: Titanium Grey, Mocha Brown and Midnight Blue. Priced at €799 fpr the 128GB storage, the Al smartphone will launch first in the following countries starting mid-November 2017:

It has 256GB of non-expandable storage with 6GB RAM and is available in Diamond Black. As being a premium phone, the retail package comes with custom made leather case. This luxurious device is priced at €1395 and will be available by mid-November 2017 in the following countries as the first-wave launch markets and their respective prices in direct local conversion:
