Kata M2L Hands on and first impressions; First LTE device by Kata

Alright, so after we spotted the teaser of the upcoming smartphone by Kata. We immediately secured an appointment to where we can exclusively take photos, videos and do our Kata M2L Hands on and first impressions.

We already knew that it is only a matter of time that Kata is either upgrading their devices to Android 5.1 Lollipop, or they will release an LTE device before the year ends.

This morning they posted the teaser of the M2 LTE, but it was properly corrected by the marketing team that it will be called M2L. In our Kata M2L Hands on, we found out a lot of new features in the 5.5-inch LTE device from Kata.

The Kata M2L LTE has a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 screen resolution. It is powered by MTK 6735P with 64-bit quad core processor running 1.3Ghz, and GPU is MALI T720. It has 1G RAM and will get a stock internal storage of 16G, but expandable via micro-SD.

Currently, it is the slimmest Kata smartphone having only 8.9mm, weighs 166 grams with the battery installed.

The front camera has 8MP with fixed focus feature while the rear camera has 13MP with AF and it is covered by a Gorilla glass.

It is the first ever smartphone that will run the latest Android OS which version 5.1.1 aka Lollilop. Talking about first, Kata M2L is also the first LTE enabled smarpthone by Kata.

It has dual SIM card. The main SIM is a regular size and the second one is a micro-SIM.

In our Kata M2L Hands on, we also learned that like the previous models, Kata M2L has a removable cover and battery. The battery has 3,000mAH capacity.

Unlike the other old models, the Kata M2L’s micro-USB port and audio port are located on top of the phone. The power button is on the right side while the volume rockers are on the elft side.

The speakers are now located at the bottom of the phone alongside with the mic.

The edges are curved which has metal materials which could be scratch prone later on.

The capacitive buttons are at the bottom and unlike the other Kata smartphones, this one has no longer LED backlighting.
