The highly anticipated Nokia 8 is here! Having been the subject of countless leaks, HMD Global finally announces the latest flagship offering from the Finnish company.
The new Nokia 8 comes in a roomy 5.3-inch display with 1440p resolution, powered by the Qualcomm’s high-end premium chipset, Snapdragon 835 carrying an octa-core 2.45GHz CPU, and the Adreno 540 GPU. There’s 64GB native storage, that can be expandable thru microSD slot, in case you need a more storage capacity.
The camera combo from the back weighs in at 13-megapixel (color and monochrome) that has phase detection and laser auto-focus with accompanying dual-LED flash. On the selfie camera is also a 13-megapixel lens with f/2.0 aperture and surprisingly, it has phase detection auto-focus, a rare case on the secondary camera. Keeping the lights on is a 3,090mAh built-in battery.
A new feature called Dual Sight that can record livestream split-screen from the rear and front cameras to social-media sites like Facebook, and on YouTube. For more immersive experience, the new Nokis OZO is now on the Nokia 8. It’s a binaural 360° spatial surround audio recording technology that allows to record surround sound during a livestream, thru high dynamic range microphones.
Nokia 8 comes with a fully functional Google package right out of the box, that includes Gmail, Chrome, Drive, Photos and YouTube, running stock Android v7.1.1 “Nougat”. According to the company, they are already start testing the Android O update.
Thanks to partnership with Google as Photos is the default Galley app of the phone, and not just that, it has unlimited storage for storing photos and videos.
