OPPO in the Philippines is already in full-swing. Launching one device after the other “selfie expert” series of smartphones.
The latest is the OPPO A57.

This selfie expert’s slogan is “Unstoppable Selfies”. The device has the same DNA of the famous F1s having an all-metal unibody design, slim and white-faced.

But do take note that this 5.2-inch device has the standard camera setup. One in front and the other at the back.
Unboxing OPPO A57
Inside the commercial box of the OPPO A57 is an all-white accessory. From the wall charger to the microUSB cable up to the earphones. The usual freebie given by OPPO is also included – a transparent casing.

Wach our quick unboxing video below.
OPPO F3 Specs
Let’s talk about what fuels this latest selfie expert.
It is a 5.2-inch device with HD 720p display with 2.5D curved glass panel reinforced by Gorilla Glass 4 for optimum protection.

Placements of the buttons are pretty much ergonomic — two-piece volume control on the left and power button on the left.
Additionally, the A57 comes with a high-capacity storage and RAM. The 3G RAM and a 32G of storage are enough to make your smartphone experience enjoyable.
What powers the A57 is a 1.4Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor partnered with Adreno 505 GPU.
This setup is already impressive and will get you through your average requirement for productivity, social and personal needs.
Plus factor: If other brands are used to include Hybrid SIM tray, OPPO A57, just like the OPPO F3, has three card slots. Provision for two (2) Nano SIM and one for microSD for additional storage.
3 card slots! Two NANO SIM + Dedicated microSD slot. One of the best feature of @OPPOPhilippines A57. P11,990 in PH. https://t.co/BQFSrkDMVp pic.twitter.com/8iDgcx9JXu

The cameras: The A57 has two camera setup, the rear has 13MP but has F/2.2 opening, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), and LED flash. The main focus of the brand is to enjoy taking selfie shots, so the front camera of A57 is equipped with a F/2.0 with 1.12 µm pixel size on a 16MP shooter.
Other specs that come as standard are 4G/LTE, fingerprint scanner, FM radio, and the non-removable battery with 2,900 mAH.
There is no fast charging feature on this device though which is kind of disappointing.

Initial thoughts
The A57 might be the new generation F1s. That is because of the fair pricing of the device. It’s suggested retail price in the Philippines is P11,990.
At this affordable price tag, you already get a solid, sleek and a well-crafted smartphone.
What could have been added to this device are the following: fast charging, Android 7.0 OS, and USB type C.
