OPPO F3 Unboxing and Hands-on

We got hold of the retail box of the latest “Selfie Expert”, the OPPO F3 even before the Philippine launch. Thanks to our friends in OPPO Philippines for lending us the rose gold F3.

OPPO F3 First Impressions

You see, viewing movies, YouTube videos are much appreciated on a large screen. For that purpose, OPPO’s gift to the gadget enthusiast is the OPPO F3 Plus.

However for the regular usage, like for social media consumption, basic productivity, and most especially for mobile photography savvy-ness, OPPO F3 is made you.

OPPO has already made a mark in the smartphone industry. They already made a signature in their smartphone models: solid build, slim, and lightweight. They already made a camera phone that doesn’t make you alien-like unrecognizable person when you post your “selfie”, or even your “groufie” photo.

The twin front camera is made for groufie. There is no more need for another accessory called “selfie stick” because the wide-angle camera of the OPPO F3 will handle it.

And because OPPO knows that you will be taking a lot of pictures, they released one variant only, the 4GB + 64G model. But if you want more, the Hybrid dual Nano SIM card has a third slot, a dedicated microSD slot which can take up to 256GB additional storage.

OPPO F3 Initial Review

A slim smartphone with 5.5-inch full HD display is so nice to hold in the hands. It is also lightweight. And the size is so proportioned including the placements of the buttons.

What’s missing in the OPPO F3 is VOOC charging. It is kind of sad that OPPO did not include that fast charging technology with the phone. Given that, you have to charge the 3,200mAH the normal way. We are currently charging the phone and we are now running 2 hours, yet it is just 60% full.

Other than that, everything else looks fine. Camera performance is great. It does not overheat. The display is bright and clear. Voice calls are clear and crisp. We haven’t experience lags yet.

The only downside in this “Selfie Expert” phone is the pricing. OPPO is kind of doing the pattern did by ASUS. And we know that it did not work.

The introductory pricing is very enticing and affordable. And that “OPLAN Pakilala” is already over. Here’s the real thing now.

P16,990 is the official SRP.
