Here is the Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S8, and the bigger brother S8 Plus. The S8 has a 5.8-inch display and the other has a massive 6.2-inch screen.
If our reference is the older brother S7 & S7 Edge, the new flagship has so many new features to offer. First, the new Galaxy S series has a bigger screen. The fingerprint scanner is relocated at the back in exchange for a bigger display. A dual curve screen is likewise adopted which is formerly available on its Edge & Note relatives.
In terms of battery, there is no much bump as the S8 has 3,000mAH while the S8+ has a slightly bigger one with 3,500mAH.
The cameras of the S8 & S8+ has 12MP with AF, OIS and a wide opening of F1.7, the “selfie” shooter has 8MP wide-angle camera and a wide aperture of F/1.7 too.
The 12MP rear camera can record 4K video at 30fps, 1080P at 60fps. Slow motion video at 720P/240fps. There is also a 4K photo capture while vide recording on 4K resulting to a 9MP photos.
Coming to the RAM & Storage, both will have a standard of 4G RAM and a 64G internal storage. Both can be expanded thru the microSD support on the dual Hybrid Nano SIM slot.
The big jump made by Samsung on the S8 & S8+ is the removal of the all-time signature HOME button. It is now replaced by on-screen capacitive keys.
And obviously, the fingerprint must be relocated somewhere else. It is now at the back, beside the 12MP shooter.
