Infinix Note 4 and Infinix Note 4 Pro officially launches in Africa, starts at $165

Infinix Mobility have officially unveils their newest phablet devices under the “Note” series yesterday at an event in Lagos, Nigeria; the Infinix Note 4 and Infinix Note 4 Pro. It succeeds the last year’s Infinix Note 3 which gained more popularity in the African continent, especially Kenya and Nigeria. This massive phone is the most searched smartphone in the latter country for 2016, so expectations are higher for the next generation.

The specs of both new phones are identical except for a few: the Note 4 comes in two memory options, 16GB with 2GB RAM and 32GB with 3GB RAM version; while the Note 4 Pro has 32GB version only. The battery is also different: the original variant comes in a 4,300 mAh battery capacity, while the bigger sibling powers a larger 4,500 mAh.

On the other side, the Infinix Note 4 will have a new Xpen stylus, that resembles on the S-Pen stylus from Samsung. It offers better functionality for the users, like taking down notes, sketch on the screen on the XNote app and to create shortcuts for easily viewing applications.“This is an historic moment for Infinix as we bring about a new era for our Note series,” says Bruno Li, Regional Manager of Infinix Mobility Africa. “The Note 3 was a huge success last year which tells us we have passed the threshold of being a new brand to being a strong household name in this market, with the Infinix Note 4 we want to empower customers to take charge and make the needful change with their lifestyle.” added also from Li.

According to tech giant, the newly launched phones are designed for the youths to empower and enable them to go beyond. Innovation is what really matters, that’s why they include the company’s own super-fast charge, also known as the XCharge that enables the phone to charge in just 5 minutes for 250 minutes of talk time. It now runs on the new XOS 2.3 that based on Android v7.0 “Nougat”.

The display has been slightly reduced to 5.7-inch from 6.0-inch, but still a huge screen for nice multimedia viewing experience. It uses a Sharp LCD panel that has 1080p resolution, and built in a seamless craft and smooth design with curved edges. With brightness of 1,300 contrast and luminance, the phone can be readable both indoor and outdoor areas. Fingerprint scanner is now embedded on the home button, located below the front screen. Previous devices from the “Note” has a fingerprint sensor at the back. Other features are specified on the bottom side of the article.

Availability

According to reports, the Infinix Note 4 and Note 4 Pro will going on sale by July 7, 2017 at all retail stores in Nigeria. Pre-order is now available and for those who will be able to purchase now should get a free dual-noise cancelling earphones or 3D speakers, so grab it now.

Here in the Philippines, there’s a high possibility that they’ll bring these new handsets as the brand is now successful in acquiring customers by using online shopping like Lazada. We will update this post as we get some words from them.
