Razer Phone debuts as the company’s first ever Android smartphone

Razer, a gaming company officially enters the smartphone industry, as their first Android phone debuts today. It’s INSANE, honestly and can compete in other flagship devices today.

The Razer Phone comes in a 5.71-inch IGZO display, with QHD resolution, which translates to 2560 X 1440 pixels and 514 ppi. The body is made by CNC aluminum unibody design. Another noteworthy feature is that the display sports a 120 Hz refresh rate with Ultramotion display. It provides a very smooth experience in any actions or movements that the user is currently doing on the phone, even in high graphics, without affecting the device’s battery life. Speaking of the latter, the handset is backed up by a large 4,000 mAh non-removable battery. And for the first time, the Razer Phone supports Quick Charge 4.0+ technology, that fully recharges the phone from 0% to 50% in just 15%. That’s awesome!

Under the hood, the Razer Phone is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and an expandable 64GB storage. On the rear lies a dual-camera setup, consisting of 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel sensors with auto-focus and dual-LED flash. For taking selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel front camera.

There’s a dual front-firing speakers, certified by THX, a first also and has Dolby ATMOS sound. A fingerprint scanner is embedded on the power key, located on the right side of the phone. It runs on Android 7.1.1 “Nougat” with Nova Launcher Prime Razer Edition, and will surely upgrade to Android 8.0 “Oreo” by Q1 2018.
