Globe Telecoms, one of the the country’s largest service provider in the Philippines and Amdocs, the three time “BSS Vendor of the Year”, and “OSS Vendor of the Year” signed up for an ambitious 7 year transformation and continuous upgrade of its infrastructure and data warehouse.

The announcement was made by Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu and Peter Bithos, Senior Adviser for Consumer Business last July 5, 2012 at Shangri La Makati. The event was attended personally by executives from Amdocs Amir Ofek, Regional Client Business Executive for South East Asia, Abhay Kumar, Vice President for Global Strategic Sourcing, and Erwann Thomassain, Head of Regional Marketing in Asia Pacific.

The tie up aims to modernize Globe’s data warehouse and business processes within its postpaid, prepaid, landline and broadband operations. With the scheduled plan, Globe can focus more on managing its customer relationship and personalized customer experience.

We selected Amdocs to help us transform our I.T. infrastructure, having seen their track record in delivering similar data warehouse and BSS transformation projects around the world, “ said Ernest Cu.
He also added, “With a strategic partner like Amdocs, we can approach these two large projects in a holistic manner. We will be able to convert data from our BSS systems into actionable business intelligence that will enable us to improve the customer experience, drive service uptake and revenues, and reduce operational costs.”
