MANILA, Philippines – GCash, the Philippines’ leader in digital financial services, unveiled groundbreaking innovations at this year’s GCash Futurecast, revolutionizing the country’s fintech landscape and elevating consumer experience.

Martha Sazon, President and CEO of GCash, shared, “Today, you can expect innovations that will “Change the Game”. But, the real game-changer is how we can make a meaningful impact on Filipino lives.”

She adds, “to innovate not only to provide access, but to be their partner towards better Financial Health and Wellness.”

State-of-the-Art Security

An additional security measure for worry-free online transactions, Online PaySafe was introduced as part of GCash FutureCast 2024. This feature allows users to finish their transactions using multi-factor authentication by directing them to the GCash app throughout the payment process. This improves safety by decreasing the number of open tabs and windows, which leaves user accounts more vulnerable to takeover attempts, links to payment scams, and website spoofing.

Gigi has made it easier than ever to get assistance. With the help of generative AI, Gigi can now effortlessly address both simple and complicated inquiries. Additionally, Gigi may access previous discussions, do security checks, and link users to live agents as necessary.

With the help of Chubb, GCash launched Send Money Protect to protect customers against online fraud. Users now have the option to insurance their transactions up to PHP 15,000 for 30 days for as little as PHP 30. This protects your money from con artists who pose as legitimate businesses or people you know.

In an effort to make their software more user-friendly, GCash has released three new designs. With the new and improved Dashboard 3.0, consumers can quickly and easily access all of their favorite GCash products. Users can now easily access their most-used functions in the app with the new save, borrow, and grow tabs.

Your new best friends in financial literacy, GCat & Friends, have undergone some exciting upgrades and are prepared to make learning about money management a joy. Corey G, who finds the best sales, and GRaf, who pushes consumers to start saving and investing, are GCat’s buddies.

To improve your borrowing experience, GCash unveiled new AI-powered innovations, the first of which is GScore AI, an AI-powered customer trust score. This function determines a user’s creditworthiness and loan eligibility based on their everyday app use, eliminating the need for forms and extra paperwork.
Ads served by GCash’s AI-powered Hyper-Personalized Ads platform study consumers’ purchasing habits and then pairs them with relevant, personalized offers from GCash merchants and partners. Similar to a personal shopper, it chooses the greatest offers that clients will adore.

When it comes to money, GCoach AI is your best bet. It confidently teaches customers how to spend, save, and increase their money using generative AI. In addition to that, it connects users to the app’s auto-deposit capabilities and gives them individualized insights.

GCash’s dedication to promoting climate action includes GImpact, an initiative that allows users to create a more environmentally friendly future with each click. With this updated function, customers can now see exactly how their app purchases contribute to a decrease in carbon emissions. Users can use their Green Points to plant actual trees through GForest’s partnered NGOs, thanks to the reduction of emissions.

One new way to cultivate trees that produce fruit is with GFarm. Seedlings of fruit trees, such as avocado, jackfruit, and coffee, are distributed to farmers in the Philippines as part of this program, which aids them gradually but surely. The farmers and their communities benefit greatly from these because all of the profits flow straight to them.

In an effort to instill responsible financial habits in the next generation, GCash introduced GCash jr. with Parental Controls. With GCash jr. Visa Cards, children and teenagers from seven to seventeen years old can receive their very first electronic wallet and debit card. Now that parents may establish limits on their children’s wallets, their children can receive their allowance whenever they want, access their accounts whenever they want, and make monitored purchases and subscriptions.

The first savings account for children, GSave jr., is introduced by GCash in an effort to promote healthier saving habits among children. Now, children have the opportunity to learn about personal finance, establish their own financial objectives, and decide for themselves how much they wish to save.
This feature empowers today’s youth with safe and supervised spending, allowing them to develop better spending and saving habits. Parents may monitor their child’s spending with a customized dashboard that shows total spending and allows them to set transaction limits.

With its continued expansion in 2024 to 16 countries—including the USA, Canada, Italy, UK, Australia, Japan, Spain, UAE, South Korea, Taiwan, Germany, Hong Kong, Qatar, Singapore, KSA, and Kuwait—GCash will be accessible to 10 million Filipinos living abroad. With International Bank Cash-In, customers may withdraw funds from more than 12,000 US banks—and soon, European banks will be able to do the same.
