On June 18, Grab Taxi Philippines teased the public with a new marketing poster with a picture of a person on a motorcycle. In the promotional poster posted on Grab Taxi Facebook page, it said, “Something awesome is coming to your doorsteps“.
Many of the fans reacted differently. Some said it is the Grab Taxi version of “habal-habal”, others said its “Grab Trycicle”, but when I did a quick Google, I found out the answer. Its Grab Express.
Today, the service is silently launched by GrabTaxi. If you are a frequent rider of Grab Taxi, you will see another tab in the ride-sharing app. GrabExpress is now activated and you can start using the service.
Initially available in Makati and Taguig area, GrabExpress is an on-demand delivery service for a flat rate of P80. (USD1.774). Under this service, customers can send parcels with less than 70cm.
Currently on a trial run, Grab Express will be available from Monday to Saturdays only.
How to use Grab Express
Like booking a grab taxi, grab car or gram premium, using Grab Express is done by launching the app, then select the Drop-Off location, then select GrabExpress as the type of vehicle to use, tap Next to open another window. Input your instructions in the Notes window, a Tip is always optional and then tap Confirm Booking. Finally get the details of your rider and track the delivery status, just like how you track your GrabCar driver.
We are waiting for the confirmation from Grab Taxi Philippines if GrabExpress will be a permanent service in the Philippines.
