Huawei will launch a new version of its Honor MagicBook 2019 on April 17. This is a 14-inch laptop with an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor. You can choose between a device with 8GB DDR4 RAM and a 256GB SSD or a variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD.
It will have two USB-A sockets, HDMI port, and a USB Type-C. Huawei also offers the notebook in two different colors reminiscent of Apple’s Macbooks: silver and dark gray. The built-in Ryzen 5 3500U uses a Vega-M graphics unit and four cores with SMT for eight threads. The 15-watt chip clocks between 2.1 and 3.7 GHz. This should bring a little more power than its predecessor.
It is likely that Huawei has recycled the chassis of the previous MagicBook 2018. At least, it is almost identical visually. Although Huawei does not provide any further information on its Mandarin-written product page, we can, therefore, assume a full-HD LCD panel. In addition, it is likely that a similar Wi-Fi module with Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.1 are installed.
