MADRID PE launches Cashless Payment for Consular Services
Madrid PE has enhanced the accessibility of its consular services by introducing cashless payment options for all consular services, including consular outreach services, effective 01 April 2024.

During his speech, Ambassador Lhuillier emphasized that the implementation of cashless payment is in line with the Embassy’s commitment to the President’s “Bagong Pilipinas” campaign, which aims for comprehensive economic and social transformation. He stated, “We are responding to the President’s call to move towards a more progressive Philippines where government programs and services are within reach of every Filipino.”
To commemorate this milestone, the Ambassador personally facilitated the first consular payment using a credit card.
Consul General Mark Francis C. Hamoy, Consul Eric P. Valenzuela, Madrid PE staff, and members of the Filipino community were in attendance at the launch event.
Cashless payments involve transactions conducted without physical currency, utilizing credit or debit cards.
Additionally, the Embassy also accommodates other forms of online payment.
