Windows 10 is here, have you upgraded yet?

So the global launch of the latest Windows OS happened yesterday. And it was awesome.

Take it from a person who moved to Macintosh (Mac) since 2010. After that, I never look back. But Microsoft has listened to feedbacks of its millions users. The tile has a new look, the start button is back, the new UI is impressive and, they implemented what Mac has — virtual desktop (Mac calls it now as Mission Control)

But please listen to Karrie Ilagan, Microsoft PH chief as she introduced what Windows has to offer and what the local team is doing for their corporate social responsibility (CSR). Here she is.

Here are some features that you should expect with Windows 10:

  • Cortana is integrated. Your voice-interactive assistant, to help you find the right info easier.
  • Edge (Yes, aside form IE) browser lets you browse, read, and doodle on web pages for sharing.
  • Continuum makes app experiences across devices and between touch and keyboard/mouse interface more fluid.
  • Microsoft Phone Companion app lets iPhones, Android, or Windows phones to work seamlessly with Windows 10 devices.
  • Office Mobile apps for Windows 10 offer a consistent, touch-first experience for small tablets. A Microsoft Office 365 subscription is required so you can edit documents on Windows 10 tablets or larger devices.
