Online site Multiply via discounteddeals.multiply.com has been giving huge “discounts” to its customers; first they gave away P3k off just simply subscribing to their news letter. Last week, they launched a much bigger promo, the P5,000 discount for all P20k+ items in their site!
Payment can be made via credit card, GCash, Smart Money, BDO, BPI, and Paypal. Some customers including me opted to pay via BDO, I deposited the payment the same day I got the email

After payment has been done within 24hrs of ordering online, nothing happend. I had to email the customer service and send message to their Facebook Group re: my order. The FB group admin told me to email the deposit slip yesterday, which I did in the evening just to be dismayed this morning.
My order was cancelled!
Yes, it was cancelled after giving them my deposit slip. They got the money now. In their email they are asking for my bank details and they will refund in within 7-10 days. Wow! How about that, holding my money for 10-days??

Oh, please don’t forget that they offered the P5k off using the promo code”PH-GADGET5KOFF” until January 31, 2013. And they ended it off prematurely yesterday – January 24, 2013! Nice one Multiply! Very very nice!
This is a promo that has not been fully prepared by Multiply. I would like to think that way, I do not like to think that this is a scam this early.
As of this writing, I am still waiting for their feedback. I demanded that my purchased item to be delivered rather than them refunding the money. Their excuse was their “issues” with BDO.
Opps! There is another alibi here, they also said “We are sorry for the inconvenience. discounteddeals had to cancel unpaid orders due to limit in stocks.“.
So which is which? Issue with BDO or limit in stocks?
If you go to their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/multiplydiscounteddeals) or even to their website (discounteddeals.multiply.com/journal/item/5/About_Us) , you will see growing numbers of complains by now.

Update 1.27.13: Discounteddeals.Multiply.com has replied to my protest already, I had to email them again copy of my deposit slip, multiply ID, address and so forth. We will update this post once tracking number or the item is delivered already.
Update 1.31.13: Ms. Anna called on 1.28 to assure me of my item (iPhone 5) and true to her words, I got my item in my doorstep next day. This issue was resolved already.

Hi Jeremy,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Multiply has reached out already, they called me on Sunday. We will update this post as soon the case is closed.
😉
I processed mine through PayPal. Got the item the next day via LBC. Dapat kasi nagmadali din kayo. Pag post ng promo nagsend agad ako ng PM sa fb nila then processed the order through Multiply agad. Received the item after a day! Sayang naman. Baka naubusan lang kayo ng stocks or Multiply can’t shoulder the cost for unexpected bulk of orders maybe? Don’t know. When huge, huge discount like that is being given, always expect for the worst. Basta ako I trust in kimstore. Can’t say the same about Multiply though. =)
.. currently in trouble. 🙁
That only. :C
