Lenovo introduces its new series of ideapads, the Z400 and the Z500. These new laptops are powered by Windows 8 and you may choose the Intel Processor from i3, i5 and i7 (for the Z500 only). There are also two types of ideapads, the standard non-touch screen and also the interactive touch-screen.
Already available in selected stores in Metro Manila and general availability by end of February 2013, the Z400 and Z500 are made 25% lighter and faster as it is built with the new Sandy Bridge Intel Chip with 22 NM which is about the size of your smallest fingernail and has 900 million transistors and has a turbo-boost as explained by Wowie Wong, Intel Philippines’ Market Development Manager. Likewise, it comes with a built-in 4GB memory and has 4-lithium polymer batteries with gives you a maximum battery life of 5 hours, explained by Ron Flores, Lenovo’s Retail Manager.
What’s interesting is that it comes with a turbo-boost inside the Intel Chip, where the clockspeed of the chip boosts up to a certain speed around 3Ghz when resources hungry application are launched. Once it normalizes, it goes down to its standard clockspeed. This helps save battery power since you don’t need to rev up when not needed.
The Ideapad Z400 and Z500 shows off with a very sleek but sturdy design with its tactile soft-touch exterior and backlit accutype keyboard and comes in 3 colors for the Philippines, the Peony Pink, Coral Blue and Dark Chocolate.
Made affordable as well, the Ideapad Z400 i3 is priced at P29,995 and the Z500 at P37,995 for the non-touch models. While the Z400 i3 touchscreen is priced at P36,995 and the Z400 i5 is at P41,995 but will be available by end of April 2013.
One thing more, the support for the expandable hard disk is upto 1TB and the RAM at 16GB SO DIMM. It has a 15-inch LCD and comes with a FREE 3-year Anti-virus license and has a sleek unibody design.
