LENOVO MOBILE launches four new A series smartphone today, the A stands for “Affordable” includes A369i, A269i, A516, and A850 Android Smartphones.
The launch coincides the new appointment of Michael Ngan as the new country manager. Maria Victoria “Vicky” Agorrilla took an early retirement after eight years with the company.
Four Android Smartphones; two of them is now available no and the remaining two will be seen in the stores by the end of October. Consumer will have to choose from a 3.5-inch screen, 4-inch, 4.5-inch and a 5.5-inch display. Price range starts at P2,799 up to the biggest display that will retail at P9,999.
Lenovo A269i is positioned as the entry level phone, it has 2MP rear camera, 256MB RAM, 512M Internal storage and microSD bay. It is powered by a 1Ghz dual-core CPU running on an Android Gingerbread OS. Screen is at 3.5-inch VGA resolution and dual-SIM functionality. 1,300 mAh battery.
Lenovo A369i is powered by 1.3Ghz dual-core processor, a 4-inch screen, Jellybean 4.2.2 OS,dual-SIM functionality. 512RAM, 4G storage with microSD card expansion slot, 2MP rear camera. 1,500mAH battery. 2MP camera.
Lenovo A516 is also a dual-SIM (regular SIM), 1.3Ghz dual-core processor, Android Jellybean 4.2.2 OS, 512RAM, 4G internal storage, 5MP rear camera, VGA selfie camera. 2000 mAH battery.
The big brother of them all – the Lenovo A850 has a 5.5-inch qHD IPS display screen, powered by a quad-core 1.3Ghz CPU, 5MP AF with flash, .3MP front camera, 2250mAH.
Lenovo also announced that they are coming up with their first LTE model in January next year.
Pricing and availability.
The latest A Series will all be available this October, but the two models – A615 and and A369i are now in stores. Pricing of the four A series smartphones are as follows – A516 retails at P5,999, A369i retails at P4,499, A269i retails at P2,799, and A850 retails at P9,999. The A269i and A850 will be made available by the end of October.
