Look how gorgeous is the next Kata smartphone that will hit the market in January!
The all-new Kata i4 has a new look, a new body, new design, and new specs under the hood.

Kata i4 is not only the first smartphone by Kata powered by an Octa-core processor, but it is also the first one with NFC (near field communication). We discovered it only during our unboxing and initial testing with Enzo Luna (juanmanilaexpress.com) and Ron Villagonzalo (wahpinas.com). NFC was not listed in the specs released by Kata.

It is also the first smartphone by Kata to use a SIM card tray and a fixed storage, a 32G of internal is loaded.
Take a look at the photos of the gorgeous Kata smartphone.

Looking at the side of the i4, its like the iPhone 4 because of the metal casing, but if you look closely, the back is curved much like the Samsung Alpha.
The bottom has the micro-USB port and on top is the 3.5mm audio port and the SIM-card tray.
On the right side of the body is the power button while on the left side is the volume rockers, it has one for the volume up and one for the volume down.
I won’t take you to the specs per se because I know you have Googled it already, or perhaps saw it in our previous blog posts already. But if you insist, you can check this post.
From the M1 which was the first smartphone we had from Kata to M2, and then the i3S, we have seen how they improved the design.
The i4 looks premium but its not perfect yet. But let us skip that, let us take you to the features we loved at first sight.
Camera
The rear camera has 16MP shooter with a dual bulb LED flash to accompany your low-light shooting. The front camera has 8MP which will suit the “selfie” people. The 16MP camera by default will capture a photo with 5376 x 3024 resolution, you can have it printed or developed nobody will know that your picture was taken with a smartphone.
Storage
If you did not complain about the iPhone with 16G storage, then you should be grateful with the i4, it has 32G non expandable.
Display
The 5-inch display of i4 has 720 x 1280 screen resolution. It has a super HD display making image crisp and clear.

This is kind of a mini review already! I got excited. Anyway, I will use Kata i4 as my default phone for the next couple of weeks and write a full review.
Meantime, Kata i4 pre-order begins on January 2. It is priced at P9,799. There will be one variant only but it is very generous in terms of specs — 2G of RAM, 32G internal storage, and a MTK 6592 octa-core CPU, 16G and 8G shooters.
Before we finally end this initial impressions, let us show you some more photos of Kata i4. We had it beside i3s and Lumia 830.

Kata i4 and Lumia 830. Kata i4 feels like the Lumia 930, slippery when you hold it, but i4 is a little bit bigger than the Lumia 830.

Kata i4 and Kata i3S. Kata i4 looks stunning versus the i3s, hands down.
Stay tuned for our full review, we will test the battery on WiFi, on 3G, on video playback and many more. We will also mention the stuff that we don’t like about Kata i4 in our full review.

This issue can be addressed once Kata updates their software.
There is a WiFi connection issue now. Sadly. 🙁

Michy, you can check my review of Xiaomi Mi3 here — http://bit.ly/_XiaomiMi3Review. I will publish the review of i4 in a few days. Thank you for dropping by!
Nalungkot ako bigla nung nalaman ko na non expandable pala sya 🙁 mahilig pa naman ako sa mga apps and videos 🙁
Pls your thoughts between kaya i? and xiaomi mi3
cguro nga peru sa mga average user di na nila lam ung mga settigns or mga manual gusto nila kung ano na un na.. mostly mga smartphone users di alam paano gamitin phone nila basta makatawag at call ok na hehehe
I find it over exposed a little bit. You have to manually adjust the exposure. 🙂
Its the sexiest Kata smartphone to date! Yay!
We will share it in our full review. Drop by again soon!
How is the sensitivity of the screen? The i3s is not as sensitive as other phones making it very frustrating to type.
