Asus Zenfone 4 Max goes official, with massive 5,000 mAh battery

Asus is now preparing to reveal new devices that will make up the entire Zenfone 4 series by the end of this month. Strangely, it looks like one of the phones is now official in Russia, the Asus Zenfone 4 Max. Moving on, the specs are pretty impressive but the price is a bit high. But, we all know that the price in Russia are higher compare to other markets.

Looking down the features, there will be two variants of the Zenfone 4 Max: for 16GB storage, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset; while the bigger 32GB storage will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset. In addition, two memory configurations (market dependent) are going to be available soon: 16GB + 3GB and 32GB + 3GB versions.

One of the main focuses of the phone is the dual-camera setup at the back. Both sensors are 13-megapixel lens but worked separately; as one will focus as the main sensor while the other one will cover the wide-angle and perhaps, the trendy “bokeh” effect or in-depth details. Speaking on the front, there’s an accompanied LED flash for the 8-megapixel shooter, that enables to capture a stunning 140° panorama mode.

A remarkable feature notes that there’s a dedicated microSD slot that supports up to 256GB. This is a rare case as the dual-SIM slots will not implementing a hybrid one. And now, the biggest part of this handset, the massive 5,000 mAh battery that can possibly used as a power bank option to charge any smartphones.

Surprisingly, the battery is REMOVABLE according to Asus Russian website. Still, a feeble 10W stock charge will wait for you by 4 hours to fully re-charge the phone. On a positive side, the device will remain cool even if it takes too long and a 15 minute charge is still sufficient for at least 3 hours of talk time. By enabling the “Power Saving Mode” at below 10%, the standby time tends to be increased by a whooping 91 hours.
