Today, Samsung has just launched the first smartphone in the mid-range category to feature the Infinity Display, meet the Galaxy A8 (2018) and A8+ (2018). Both will be available this January 2018.
“With the release of the Galaxy A8(2018) and A8+(2018), we’re bringing our customers’ favorite features from our flagship smartphones, such as the Infinity Display and our first Dual Front Camera with Live Focus, to our Galaxy A series, which is already known for its premium design,” said Junho Park, Vice President of Global Product Planning – Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics, in a press statement.
Here are some of the main highlights of these two new mid-range flagship devices:
- Smart Gallery – It can store and sort images in the main Gallery application using Smart Content search, making it very easier to store, organize, and find based on the user’s search term.
- Dual Messenger – It allows the user to navigate two accounts for the same Messenger and use it at the same time with different purposes, whether personal or professional.
- Samsung Pay – Both the Galaxy A8+ (2018 and A8 (2018) are supported by Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) and NFC.
- Always On display – By enabling this feature in the Settings, the user will see the date and time, missed calls or any alerts with ease when the phone is in standby mode.
- IP68 – It can submerge in the water up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for 30 minutes,
- Adaptive Wi-Fi – These two phones will remember the location where the user was previously connected to Wi-Fi networks.
