Not so long ago, HMD Global debuted the Nokia 2, an affordable smartphone with big battery life; and the Nokia 7, a mid-range device that is exclusive to mainland China only. An image of the upcoming model, the TA-1005 that is thought to be the Nokia 9, has been exposed this early-December in Baidu, a Chinese web service company. Today, this version just passed the FCC inspection, and some of the specs were mentioned.

Looking at the document, the Nokia 9 is expected to have a 5.5-inch OLED (LG made) display with unknown resolution and body aspect ratio. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset, a dual 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel rear cameras, a 5-megapixel selfie shooter, and a 3,250 mAh battery. The phone will run on Android 8.0 “Oreo” and offers a large 128GB of storage. Not sure if it’s expandable.

It also confirms that the Nokia 9 will feature a fast charging support (18W) including some of the accessories in the retail package: a USB cable with charging adapter, and a pair of earphones.

Rumors suggest that this upcoming flagship will be announced on January 19, alongside with Nokia 6 (2018).
