At the Ookla Speedtest Awards Q1-Q2, PLDT Home was named to have the fastest broadband service in the Philippines for the sixth year in a row, beating out all of the major internet service providers in the country.

PLDT Home has been the fastest ISP in the country for five years in a row, and the company is committed to giving every Filipino home speeds that can’t be argued with.
In addition, PLDT Home recorded the fastest speeds in 15 major areas in the Philippines, outpacing the speeds recorded by any other major telco operator. These areas consist of Quezon City, Pasig City, Davao City, Cagayan de Oro, Bulacan, Bacolod, Cainta, Baguio City, Pasay City, Iloilo City, Lucena, Malabon City, Valenzuela City, Marikina City, and Batangas. As the country’s biggest digital services provider, PLDT Home tries to keep up with the digital shift by giving its over 3.1 million fiber subscribers the most powerful and fastest fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network.
In July, PLDT increased the capacity of its international network by putting in place the US-Transpacific Jupiter cable system, which should give it more capacity in multiple Terabits per second. Customers of PLDT who want more digital services and a better digital experience will benefit from this.
PLDT is the only company in the Philippines that can offer fiber-optic service at up to 10,000 Mbps. This puts the country in the same group as South Korea, Japan, Sweden, Norway, Italy, New Zealand, and the USA, all of which have ultra-fast Internet speeds at home.
These new ideas are made possible by PLDT’s widest network, which has grown to include more than 803,000 kilometers of fiber infrastructure, 15.5 million homes, and 6.25 million fiber ports.
