Samsung launches Series 7 Chronos

Samsung introduced today their Series 7 notebook, the toned down version of the Series 9 which were launched early this year.

Chronos which also looks like a Macbook pro sports a 15” screen and is designed for the gaming enthusiasts according to Samsung. In the launch they setup the place as a gaming arena to showcase the speed of this notebook.

Chronos features faster with express cache, two-second boot up time, built with a compact chassis and is 36% brighter compared to any conventional laptop in the market. The keyboard is a chicklet-type with backlight but is a rubber type. Weighs 2.3kg/5.07lbs and is only .94mm

It also features a bigger display of 15inches as opposed to the regular 14-incher competitors. I was expecting that Samsung is bringing up their version of Ultrabook but I was wrong. According to one of the reps, their version of ultrabook will be launched next year.

The naming convention will now follow what has been used for their TV’s; this year the Series 9 which they called the high end series and the Chronos is the middle-end or the toned down version of of the latter.
