Its out now, the next generation 24-70mm by Canon. The new Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM is finally out. You can now see it from Canon website.
So what’s new with the version II? The new L lens becomes lighter compared to the old model, its is now 805g vs the former which is 950g. The filter size became bigger which means you have to pay extra cash for the filter. Filters aren’t cheap. 🙂 Price is expected from USD1799 – $1899 USD according to Canon Rumors.
Late last year I was shopping for a pre-owned 24-70 lens but I ended up with a Sigma lens since it was more affordable than Canon.
