Caltex, the fuel brand of Chevron Philippines continues its support to the tourism program of the country as it once more sponsors the 17th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (PIHABF) at the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga from February 9-12, 2012.

In the Press Conference held at Hotel Vida, Caltex unveiled an online game called “Captain Bubbly’s Enjoyable Journey” which features a hot air balloon. The game can be played in Facebook – you have to allow the apps first in order to play.

The game is so simple; Capt Bubbly is riding the hot air balloon, which can travel into different local destinations. While on-board the balloon, you will encounter different obstacles, which you have to evade in order for your life to last up to 2 minutes to the next destination. Each destination you reach you earn P10. Player has the option to donate earnings to one of the three charities through Ammado widget or continue playing. Players can play as much as they can, but can only donate once. Donation will be given to the three non-profit organization supported by Chevron.

The three non-profit are Project Seahorse Foundation (PSF) for environment, Smokey Mountain Team for sports and Hospicio de San Jose for education. Caltex team also brought the kids from Smokey Mountain including its guests and employees to the opening day of the Fiesta. Originally they are supposed to be treated to a tethered hot air balloon flight but due to unstable blowing of the winds, a photo ops in front of the Caltex hot air balloon instead was taken.

This years’ edition is expected draw more people to witness at least 30 hot air balloons from all over the world, with odd shapes, fly early in the morning and late in the afternoon for four days. In between, visitors can enjoy the skydiving, airplane aerobatics, RC aircraft exhibitions, kite flying, paragliding and airplane formation flying.
