Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adapter; Make your speakers wireless

There are gadgets that are complicated, pricey and will make you crazy in setting it up. But there are also simple gadgets that will surely make your life easy. The Logitech BT Audio Adapter is one of those simple gadgets that made my life easier and it revived my 8-year old analog speakers into a working speakers again. And what more impressive is the old analog guy becomes digital and wireless.

Logitech Bluetooth Audio adapter was launched in the Philippines together with the colorful M235 mouse on May 7, 2014.

Stuck in that little box are three items — the BT adapter, AC adapter, and a 3.5mm to RCA stereo cable. That’s it.

Configuring the Logitech BT Audio Adapter

This one is quite simple, you don’t need a certified sound engineer to set this up. Just connect the AC adapter to the BT device, connect the audio cable to your speakers audio input and you are done.

The next step is pairing the Logitech BT Audio adapter to any BT-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop or any media player that has BT). To pair the Logitech BT audio adapter, you have to long press the bluetooth button of the device — that’s the button at the center, by doing a long press, it will create a sound indicating that it is now ready to pair to another BT-enable device.

Use your BT-enabled device to find the audio adapter, it will display the name Logitech BT Adapter. After this little steps, you are done. You can now stream music, audio books, or any audio files from your device to any speakers connected to the BT adapter.

Functionality and Ease Of Use

When turned on, the Logitech BT Audio Adapter display a blue light, indicating that the device is on. The blue light by the way blinks during Bluetooth pairing.

Connect more that one BT device — this is one feature that needs further improvement. While the Logitech BT Audio Adapter can connect to two BT devices at the same time, it somehow interfere with the each other. Pairing two BT devices is not the issue. Once its paired comes the problem, the first BT connected seems to interfere with the other one. It disables the audio for the current BT device playing the audio, so it is advised to turn off the other BT device.

It is very much easy to use. Once a BT device is paired, you are done. Play your favorite Spotify playlist, your audio books or view Youtube clips from your laptop and enjoy loud sound on your speakers via the BT Audio adapter.

Conclusion

I am sold out.

But I need an upgrade. I wish that Logitech comes out with a version that can plug my 5.1 speaker system. This model only connects 2.1 speakers. While it revived my 8-year old 5.1 speaker systems, it only used 3 speakers. 🙂

I was told that stocks are coming to the Philippines very soon! And the price tag is USD49.
