Why Nokia Asha 305 is an affordable dual-SIM phone

Nokia came up with a hot swappable dual-SIM budget oriented featured phone recently. Hot swapping of SIM does not need to turn of your Asha 305 which is cool.

Let us lay down first the specs of Nokia Asha 305.

It has 3.0-inch display with 240×400 pixels. A 64MB ROM, 32MB RAM, 10MB internal storage which can be extended up to 32GB via microSD, but note that there is 2GB included in the package.

Do not expect too much as this phone has no 3G or Wi-fi capabilities. That’s right, only GPRS/EDGE, but has Bluetooth 2.1. However camera is 2MP rear camera, no front camera but has FM radio tuner. Battery is 1100mAh Li-Ion.

Few advantage I guess is its processor at 1000Mhz and the hot swap dual-SIM feature. But there are long lists of features that you will miss on this feature phone.

– no wi-fi
– slow internet browsing, only GPRS or EDGE only
– no auto-focus camera
– low resolution camera
– camera has no flash
– no front facing camera

However, you will not probably complain if you are buying this phone for only P3,890.00. For that price, you still get these phone features – 1,000 contact list, caller groups, multiple numbers per contact, search by both first and last name, picture ID, ring ID plus accessories like Nokia Stereo Headset WH-102, Nokia compact charger AC-11, 2GB Micro SD memory card.

Nokia Asha 305 is now available in stores. Choose from silver white, red, mid blue, and dark grey.
