If you are one of those who upload photos and host them with Picasa, the free online photo album of Google, you will be surprised that Google now redirects the old URL and pushes them to Google+.
Google is trying to tell users of Picasa to migrate and make use of Google+.

So, next time you access your Picasa web albums, here’s what you are going to see.

If you are like me who got used and became comfortable with the old layout of Picasa Web Album, you will probably panic and get irritated. For bloggers like us who upload photos to free service like Picasa to save disk space in our servers, the old layout is the best. Resistance to change is the keyword. 😀
But do not worry, like everything else in the web, there are work arounds. The guys at CNET has already figured out what to do.
How to access the old Picasa Web Album:
1. The old URL http://picasaweb.google.com does not work anymore, it brings you to the Google+ album, the workaround is to enter the URL https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/myphotos?noredirect=1 to return to your old layout.
2. You need to do this once only. Your browser will memorize your settings.. the cookie stuff.
3. Now everytime you type http://picasaweb.google.com, you are back to your old Picasa web album layout.
And for the guys who has loved to used Google+ and you want to access your Google+ photos, you can always type in https://plus.google.com/photos/
Picasa web lets you store up to 5G of storage, but if you need more they have up to 16TB of storage for a good price for you.

Picasa Web album and Google+ are all products of Google, the advantage of using these services is you just login to one account and you have access to all of their services.
