With an objective to provide access to modern-day basic education to indigents in the countryside; the “Taiwan Excellence Mobile Classroom” was launched today.

The Taiwanese government held a competition called “Taiwan Excellence: Sharing is Caring,” and SEED4Com (Sustainable Energy and Enterprise Development for Communities) came up with the idea, which started with a bicycle, a sidecar, and a few other things. The classroom will fill the educational needs of the community.
The Taiwan Excellence Mobile Classroom has monitors and laptops for both students and teachers that are made by Taiwan Excellence. To make it completely sustainable, solar panels with a full inverter system and battery storage with a 3 kWh capacity were also put in. A speaker system, microphones, foldable chairs, tables, and tents were also added to make it look like a classroom. United Renewable Energy, GIGA-BYTE Technology, ASUSTeK Computer, Acer, Dacian Technology Material, Team Group Inc., and IPEVO Inc. are the businesses.
The Department of Education (DepEd) developed learning modules for the Alternative Learning System (ALS) that will be used in the Taiwan Excellence Mobile Classroom in Cebu and Quezon. This gives the idea a more scientific approach. The goal of the program is to help people get an education. Students will learn things like Integrated Math, Entrepreneurship, Life Skills, and Digital Citizenship in the Taiwan Excellence Mobile Classroom.
“With the efforts of all devoted parties, the ‘Taiwan Excellence Mobile Classroom’ project will
offer greater educational opportunities for learners of all ages in the Philippines. Today’s event is
a start to connect with respective communities, a start to unite bilateral goodwill for those in
need, and a start to trigger more parties to go for global environmental, social and governance
(ESG) goals,” says Cynthia Kiang, Director-General of Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT)
during her welcome remarks.
Organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) and the Taiwan External Trade Development
Council (TAITRA), the vision of “Taiwan Excellence: Sharing is Caring” was to help make society a
better place by giving everyone an opportunity to raise ideas about charity and other altruistic
activities related to the sustainable development of society and environmental protection by
utilizing products of Taiwan Excellence.
