Two new Canon lenses leaked before launch

Two new Canon lenses leaked before its launch. It is allegedly the lens that will part of the package of the upcoming Canon EOS 6D.


Canon EF 24-70mm F4L IS USM

  • 15 sheets of 12 groups, two aspherical lens, lens configuration sheet 2 UD lens –
  • -9-blade circular aperture
  • drip-proof dustproof
  • full-time manual focus
  • can switch to macro mode at the telephoto end –
  • 0.2m minimum focusing distance, 0.7 times the maximum magnification
  • Hybrid IS Image Stabilizer
  • 77mm filter size
  • 600 g 93mm length, 83.4mm in diameter Weight
  • to be released in mid-December


EF35mm F2 IS USM

  • 10 sheets in 8 groups, the lens structure is glass-molded aspherical lens –
  • 8-blade circular aperture
  • the effect of camera shake correction is about four stages
  • AF motor ring USM, full-time manual focus
  • 67mm filter size
  • 335 g 62.6Mm length, 77.9mm in diameter Weight
  • – released in early December 2012

Price is estimated to be around $1,808 for the EF 24-70 f4 and $923 for the EF 35mm f4.
