Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the iPad mini contender have been announced

It is now official, the Korean manufacturer Samsung has officially announced the next tablet that will head on with Apple’s iPad mini. Named as Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the tablet has 8-inch display with TFT display. It will be powered by a 1.6 Exynos Quadcore processor, a 2G of RAM to run the show via Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

If iPad mini 16G is priced at about Php16k in the Philippines, would you think again and consider Samsung Galaxy Note 8? The next mini tablet of Samsung will have 16G and 32G variants too, a 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera for video calls, Bluetooth, WiFi and some regions LTE versions will be available. Well, we hope the LTE variant will be available in the Philippines. The US market will get WiFi only version. The famous stylus called S-Pen is still there which is also present in the previous tablets.

The 8-inch tablet will have 1,280×800 pixels with a 189 ppi and the usual Samsung’s TouchWiz UI which might be familiar to you already if you have used a Galaxy Note 10.1 or even the Note 2 or S3.

Availability in the country is still unknown including its official price. But we can already make a hit that it will match the price of the iPad mini too.
