Qualcomm’s processor has been showing up in the top brands recently, you can see it in almost all flagship phones in the market today. The Snapdragon 600 is under the hood of the following smartphones in the market today – HTC One, PadFone Infinity, Galaxy S4, Optimus G Pro, and a couple of Nokia Lumias.
In a report by Endgaget, Yufei Wang, Senior Product Manager of Qualcomm have confirmed that Qualcomm next flagship SoC will start its mass production in late May.
The Snapdragon is more powerful than 600 as is it offers four Krait 400 core, which can maintain a clock speed of up to 2.3GHz
And what makes it more exciting is that, any smartphone that has Snapdragon 800 processor will be able to play 4K video as the 800 comes with the new Adreno 330 graphics processor with 30fps 4K playback capability.
ZTE Grand Memo is the first smartphone to be powered by Snapdragon 800 but it is reported to be using the old chipset.
