We haven’t heard from this brand for a little while. The last time they had an update was last year during the launch of Ultra Idol, which was reviewed later by GirlyGeek.PH for Digitalspidey.
Today they came back with another batch of smartphones. In the forefront is the Idol X Plus which was introduced in the #CES2014 in January this year.

Idol X Plus has a 5-inch Full HD 441ppi display and 13.1 MP 1080p camera. It is powered by an Octa Core 2.0 GHz processor, all in an ultra-trim handset that is just 8.1 mm thin. It has a brushed metallic frame and IML spin effect.
According to Alcatel, the new processor in the Idol X+ increase battery efficiency in which it reduces 18% in power consumption versus a Quad Core chip when decoding Full HD video. It also includes clever performance tweaks like allocating each web page tab to a different CPU to mean smooth but fast browsing.
There is just one disappointment if you may call it like that, the Idol X Plus comes with Jelly Bean Android OS out of the box. Alcatel confirmed that there will be an upgrade to Kitkat to a later date.
Idol X+ has a 2,500mAH non-removable battery.
Idol X Plus comes with a premium JBL in-ear stereo headset.
