Ever since dual-sim phones were introduced, I became a loyal fan. Basically because, I hate carrying a lot of phones in my pocket. I just like to carry just one. But, I’m not turning my back if an iPhone 4 will be given to me for free. Hehe!
Brand like Samsung, Torque, Cherry Mobile, MyPhone are the brands who introduced dual-sim phones, including the “China phones”. Among these brands, I liked the interface and physical design of Samsung. So, two years ago I bought Samsung C5212.

The Samsung C5212 sports a 1.3Megapixel camera, Dual SIM standby, 2.2″ LCD screen, has MP3 player and FM radio. Very basic phone. No 3G, no Wifi, only Edge and GPRS. I have no complain, this phone served me well for two years now doing what is expected of a dual-sim phone.
Until yesterday, that a friend bought his iPhone 4 in Shopsville in Greenhills. In the store where he bought his new toy, I inquired if Samsung has new dual-SIM phone on-stock. The sales lady showed my two models, the first is a sliding phone and a touch-screen model – the Samsung B5722.

The Samsung B5722 retains in Greenhills at P9,000.00 only. It comes with a 3.2M camera, the FM Radio and MP3 player is retained, still no 3G, no Wi-fi still. Samsung’s website says SIM1 is a quadband while SIM2 is dual band. It has three home screens which you can configure like those with the Smartphones. The microSD slots can accommodate up to 8G storage.
So, is it time to retire my C5212 and replace it with B5722? Hmmm, probably yes, probably no. If C5212 can be disposed immediately, and I’ll just add a little cash then I’ll buy the B5722. But if not, I can still live with my old reliable phone.
Let’s see in a couple of days to come. But, yes I like the B5722 despite of having a basic specs only.

Yep! 😀
