Samsung Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro are now official

Samsung adds more two smartphones under the mid-range J-series: namely, the Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro. The first will have the newly-launched Samsung Pay Mini while the latter supports Samsung Pay.

The difference of the two payment platforms is that the Samsung Pay Mini supports only the mid-range handsets, like the Galaxy J7 (2016) and Galaxy J7 Prime; other phones will follow soon, meanwhile, the Samsung Pay supports variety of upper mid-range to high-end devices like the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ and S7 edge.

The Samsung Pay Mini is the lower version of the Samsung Pay. So that, it doesn’t support the ‘tap & pay’ method using debit or credit card and won’t work with regular swiping machines for ’tap and pay’ offline payments. However, user can used online payments by using mobile wallets and UPI or the Unified Payments Interface, a national payment service that allows the user to transfer and receive funds. Further, a phone number should be registered before using this kind of service.

On the other side, the Samsung Pay, user can just downloaded and open the app from the Play Store and select the card that you’ll use for payment. This is an advantage for the people who wants cashless transactions. Afterwards, the user must hold the phone to the metal strip of the POS machine, then use fingerprint or PIN code.

Now, let’s talk about the phone themselves. Both devices sports a uni-body metal design that offers premium looking, a 13-megapixel lens on the rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, better for low-lighting scenes; and another 13-megapixel sensor on the front camera with f/1.9 aperture, good for taking selfies. A fingeprint sensor can be found in the home button. There’s a dissimilarity between them like the size, panel used and some stuffs.

The back camera has Smart Glow 2.0, a unique feature that notifies a user on alerts like calls and messages, using a luminous notification ring, which can be customizable in different colors. Under the hood is the Helio P20 octa-core, clocked at 1.6Ghz, paired with huge 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. It can be expanded up to 256GB using microSD card. It is fueled by an in-built 3,300 mAh capacity.

The J7 Pro has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD resolution and powered by the company’s Exynos 7870 octa-core CPU, boasts at 1.6Ghz. The storage doubles to 64GB, while RAM has a small 3GB.
