PLDT Inc. (PLDT) has launched fiber-to-the-home services in the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS), offering the fastest fiber internet connectivity to the country’s “largest resort city” noted for its magnificent beaches and breathtaking views.
With an expanding population and a strong tourism industry, the IGACOS municipal government welcomed this development. “The installation of PLDT fiber in IGACOS will benefit residents and tourists.” This is also quite timely. “The internet connection is critical for our new city hall and the local college that we are running,” said IGACOS City Administrator Nieljun Esdrelon.

The island’s fiber deployment by PLDT is also planned to expand Smart’s mobile network capabilities and satisfy the connectivity needs of businesses and enterprises of all kinds.
