Epson Joins Earth Hour 2024 In Support Of Global Environmental Action

Epson, the renowned multinational corporation, has been officially announced as the inaugural international corporate partner of Earth Hour. Earth Hour, recognized for its symbolic “lights off” moment, is a global environmental movement that aims to raise awareness about the loss of nature and the climate crisis. By assuming the role of the international corporate partner for Earth Hour 2024, which will occur on March 23 at 8:30 PM local time worldwide, Epson intends to inspire millions of individuals to join the movement and take energy-saving actions for the betterment of our planet.

Earth Hour was initiated by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in 2007 as an event to demonstrate collective support for the Earth by encouraging people to switch off their lights for one hour at the end of March each year. Since its inception, it has evolved into the largest grassroots environmental movement globally, motivating individuals in over 190 countries and territories to adopt energy-saving practices. In 2023, Earth Hour witnessed an impressive accomplishment with over 410,000 hours pledged on its online “Hour Bank,” which tallies positive actions for our planet.

In a collaborative effort to encourage individuals to contribute to the global Hour Bank for Earth Hour 2024, Epson and Earth Hour have made easily accessible energy-saving actions available on their respective websites. These resources are accessible in over 26 languages across various countries and regions. Furthermore, Epson is actively engaging its global network of sales companies to raise awareness about simple energy-saving actions within corporate businesses.
