Ultrabooks will be the talk of the town this year. It already made some noise when it was introduced late last year. There are designs that looks like a Mac, Ultrabooks are very slim laptop, very light yet very powerful.
In an early party for 2012, Intel revealed a lot of information regarding the development of Ultrabooks and its participation in the Smartphones & Tablet market.

Here are some exciting things to happen this year.
- There will be 75 Ultrabooks design coming up in 2012; both in the 14″ and 15″ category
- 2nd Phase of Ultrabook devices will be powered by the 3rd Gen. Intel Core processors code named: Ivy Bridge
- Thunderbolt is no longer a name for the Mac users, it will be part of the Ultrabooks – 10Gbps. Very fast transfer like transfer a an HD movie in just 30 seconds
- Cedar Trail also coming up – the new Intel Atom 32nm with up to 10 hours battery life
- Up to 20% reduced power consumption vs the previous generation Atom
- Expect a 1080p HD video in an Atom-powered netbooks
- Intel will penetrate the Tablet and Smartphones this year – powered by Intel Atom Z2460
- First seen with Lenovo K800 Android phone introduce at the Int’l Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas.
So there you go. This year expect to see lots of Ultrabooks. This will be exciting as it is also expected that prices will also go down due to competition. With 75 designs, we have lots on the table to choose to.
The next generation Netbooks with up to 10hours of battery life is good choice and seeing Intel logo in Smartphone is also cool. It promises up to 14days standby and a 45 hours playback time which can play 1080p video. This time you can play up to hours of 1080P video on your Inte-powered Smartphones.
