Riot Games, the world’s largest creator and publisher of well-known games and esports titles, has officially opened nationwide registration for the open qualifications round of Liga Republika, the Philippines’ freshly announced national League of Legends tournament developed by Pinoys for Pinoy players.
Following its recent global announcement of the formation of a brand new LoL Esports Ecosystem set to debut in 2025, Riot Games Philippines is using Liga Republika 2024 as a foundational element to elevate the competitive scene for local grassroots gaming communities and pave the way for Pinoy players to compete on a global scale.

Kickoff Invitational Results and Open Qualifiers Registration Updates
The top two Philippine teams from last year, Guardian’s Hive and Looking for Sponsor (LFS), swept the Liga Republika’s maiden Kickoff Invitational in May and will be playing in the August group round. Fantasy Esports as well as Ninja Alpha have also qualified for the group stage.
The registration for the open qualifications has been opened by Liga Republika. The four rounds are scheduled for July 13, July 20, July 27, and August 2. The open qualifications in the Philippines will be held from June 3–20, and anybody interested can register with a team of five players or more. To improve their chances of winning and making it to the group stage, teams can sign up for all four rounds of the open qualifiers.
After announcing open registration, the league anticipated that 512 teams would participate in the open qualifiers to fight for 12 spots in the group stage. The tournament will end in a LAN event in September, where the top four finalists will battle for the million-peso prize pool, after the teams are reduced to eight (8) in the playoffs.

Cultivating the Competitive Readiness of Pinoy League of Legends Players
With the new, worldwide League of Legends Esports update comes a new era and road to the top based on merit for both players and communities. This gives birth to a new regional league in APAC that will showcase regular inter-regional competitions through a new hybrid partnership plus promotion/relegation league model. In future seasons, guest teams from domestic leagues, including Southeast Asia, will have the chance to try to get promoted and vie for spots in international events.
