HTC Sense to shutdown for an upgrade

Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC have announced that HTCSense – a cloud service for HTC Smartphones will shut down.


In the statement released in their website, HTC said”

“Until the new services are ready, features previously available on HTCSense.com will be shutting down. If you have been using HTCSense.com to sync your Contacts, Messages, Footprints or Call History, you can download your data through April 30, 2012. After April 30, your data will no longer be accessible and will be deleted.”

So be warned and be informed as well, you have until the end of April to download all your data in the cloud and wait until HTC announce the availability of the service again.

Here are the procedure in downloading your data:

  • Goto HTC Sense website
  • Log in with your username and password
  • Click the ‘Download‘ button in the Account Overview section
  • A .zip file containing your data will download to your computer for easy viewing
As to when is the new service will be available, HTC did not disclose it as of now.
