Mircosoft Surface – A tablet or a laptop?

Software companies does not limit their capabilities of doing what they have originally started, they also evolve. Google had their Google phone, now Microsoft is coming up with their own Tablet dubbed as Microsfot Surface.

 

Microsoft Surface will be the flagship device of Microsoft, the company that dominated PC operating system until today.

Surface will have two flavors – Surface for Windows RT and Surface for Windows 8.

Surface for Windows RT

– OS: Windows RT
– Weight: 676 g
– Only 9.3 mm
– 10.6-inch ClearType HD Display with 16:9 aspect ratio and 1280 x 720 resolution.
– Corning Gorilla Glass 2 technology also included.
– Processor: ARM-based by NVIDIA
– Battery is 31.5 W-h battery
– microSD, USB 2.0, Micro HD Video, 2×2 MIMO antennae
– Included: Office ‘15’ Apps, Touch Cover, Type Cover
– Available in: 32 GB, 64 GB

Surface for Windows 8 Pro

– OS: Windows 8 Pro
– Weight: 903 g
– 13.5 mm
– 10.6-inch ClearType HD Display with 16:9 aspect ratio and 1280 x 720 resolution.
– Corning Gorilla Glass 2 technology also included.
– Processor: Intel Core Ivy Bridge
– Battery: 42 W-h battery
– microSDXC, USB 3.0, Mini DisplayPort Video, 2×2 MIMO antennae
– Available in: 64 GB, 128 GB

We are not sure though if it will be available in the Philippines. So, are you buying a tablet this year? Ready to replace that iPad yet?
