ASUS gathered all dealers, bloggers and media from South East Asia to Indonesia to witness the much-awaited flagship smartphone of Asus.
Zenfone 2 has many first to boast and finally, it was revealed in front of us in Pullman Jakarta Central Park in Indonesia.
ASUS CEO Jerry Shen started his presentation by sharing few figures about Zenfone. During the last quarter of 2014, Zenfone has shipped 1.5M units per month.
The company that was known in their early days as the Motherboard company has sold a total of 10M in 2014.
Here comes Zenfone 2
Asus Zenfone 2 is the world first smartphone sporting a 4G of RAM and is powered by 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 2.33GHz quad-core processor.
The looks department is lacking nothing, you’d like to immediately buy one and flaunt it to your friends. There are no buttons on the side as Zenfone has adopted the early futuristic design by LG G2, the volume rocker is at the back of the phone, but they decided to put the power button on the top in between the noise cancelling mic and the 3.5-mm audio port.
The equally gorgeous metallic finish with the Asus and Intel logos with the brand Zenfone are printed at back. There is another feature that was copied from LG G2, the double tap to turn on and off is also used with Zenfone 2.

ZenFone Accessories:
Mr. Shen also announced that Asus is coming up with smartphone accessories like Lolliflash, Zenflash, Flip Cover, Earphones, and its own brand of powerbank called ZenPower. Pricing revealed was also in Indonesian Ruphia. Our source told us that most of these accessories will also be available in the Philippines.

Zenfone 2 will have a local launch in the Philippines and the official pricing will be revealed there. Our source told us that the launch is happening between May 15 to 17. They are just fixing the date and venue. However, actual stocks are arriving after the local lunch.
The host country will get the first shipment of the Zenfone 2, other SEA countries will have its local launch and official pricing.
