Apple’s press release says Macbook Air uses advanced chemistry and Adaptive Charging technology to create a MacBook Air battery that delivers up to seven hours of wireless productivity on a single charge.
Edit: The up to 7 hours battery life applies to the 13.3MBA, while for the 11.6, its up to 5 hours. Source.
