Unboxing

On its retail package, it comes with a standard 5V/1.6A charger, the micro-USB cable and a pair of the earphone (XE100). Moreover, there is a silicone case inside on one of the papers in the box and a protective film applied on the screen.

Design

The design of the phone resembles that on the Vivo V5 Plus, including the U-type antenna band design. It carries a metallic finish on the rear panel with the brand logo at the upper center part.

The front panel carries a 2.5D glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. There are no buttons or any whatsoever at the top. At the bottom part, you will find the speaker grille, 3.5mm earphone/headset jack, microphone and the charging port. The power key and the volume buttons are located on the right side. On the left side is the SIM-tray where you able to put either two nano-SIM cards, or, one nano-SIM and a microSD card (up to 256GB).

Display

The display features a 5.5-inch HD screen. We don’t know why they still stuck with HD, which at this time, all of its rival manufacturers are providing Full HD display. At the bright side, the screen is sharp (same as its predecessor). For me, it looks like an AMOLED because of the good saturation and contrast on the screen’s quality.

Camera

The best part of the phone is on its camera department. The front camera packs a 20-megapixel accompanied by the company’s own ‘Moonlight’ selfie soft light flash and wide-angle lens.

Speaking the rear camera is the 13-megapixel coupled a single-LED flash. One of the interesting features in the rear camera is to shoot multiple frames in order to create a whopping 52MP Ultra HD images.

Our first impression turns out that the Vivo V5S is one of the decent smartphones in its price range when it comes to camera quality and if you want to have a phone with bigger storage and RAM, Vivo V5S is the right choice.

As of now, we’re still checking the full performance, battery life, and other stuffs for our detailed review, which will come in a couple of days, so stay tuned for that. Moreover, the Vivo V5S is now available nationwide, for a price of P14,990.

If you have some inquiries and questions regarding the phone, feel free to comment below. We will do our best to answer it.
