We we’re at Toshiba HQ the other day to witness the company’s biggest television yet. The 84-inches super huge 4K television that features real true colors will be available soon in the PH market.
The Japanese engineer was all passionate as he explains why Toshiba 4K TV is different and is better among the competition. They setup a non-Toshiba TV and showed us every difference he could point out – from brightness, saturation, and even true skin tone colors.
Renowned film director Paul Soriano was there as panelist and relates how his films are recorded in HD and hopes that it gets played on a real 4K TV. You can spot a popular personality in the tech blogosphere right there, the man behind Yugatech was also present as panelist, he made it clear that he is not endorsing Toshiba tough.
Toshiba highlights it features such as detail and sharpness of images, sense of saturation, richness in gradation performance and showing off natural colors.
They also re-iterated that it the world’s first 4K Ultra HD TV was launched by them in 2011. To date, they have three 4K models – 58V, 65V and the upcoming 84V.
It is called 4K as the television’s pixels is now 3,840 x 2,160 rounded up to 4K. The 2k series are the ones that has 1,920 x 1,080 pixels which we commonly called 1080P.
The 84-inch 4K TV is powered by a CEVO 4K Quad+Dual Core Processor for upscaling. An edge-lit LED backlighting with local dimming, support passive 3D, and have a ClearScan 240 Hz refresh rate. Price of the 84V 4K Ultra HD TV is TBD.
