Smart subscribers get Skype Qik for IOS and Android free for three months

An exclusive partnership between Smart and Skype was signed yesterday to provide subscribers the coolest new way to communicate with their friends on their mobile phones through the Skype Qik app.

Smart FVP for Data Services Michele Curran, Skype Head of Global Market Development Judd Harcombe, Smart Innovation and Product Development Head Mellissa Limcaoco and Smart EVP and Head of Wireless Consumer Business Charles Lim unveil the newest and coolest way to video-chat with friends through Skype Qik.

Skype Qik is the new mobile messenger app from Skype which allows users to quickly capture memorable moments in video as they happen, and immediately share them with friends through one-touch recording and instant sharing.

The service will be enjoyed by Smart subscribers for FREE for three months.

“The behavior of our users is evolving, and Smart is prepared to usher them into the digital world with this latest exclusive partnership with Skype,” said Charles A. Lim, EVP and Wireless Consumer Division Head at Smart.

What’s cool about this is that there is no registration required.

Smart did not reveal yet how much is the subscription fee after the free trial.
