The challenge of writers and publishers with content written in Tagalog or Filipino is that, for the longest time, their content cannot be monetized, specially with Google’s Adsense.
Unlike with English-written content, which has the vast majority of advertisers too, Adsense is the most popular advertising platform used.
But it is no long the case as Google finally understands the Filipino language.
In the Adsense official blog post dated April 10, 2016, Google said that the Filipino language is is now added as one of the supported languages by Adsense.
If you have an approved Adsense account, you can start creating ad units and place it your websites or blogs with Filipino content.
If you are new to Adsense, you have to check first if your website will pass certain qualifications required by Google. You can check it here.
