Samsung has just finally announced the 2017 J-series Android smartphones in Europe. These phones were already listed in many European online retailers such as the Amazon France before it goes official. Samsung Netherlands confirmed most of the specifications provided on the listing. The new line-up has been upgraded with many enhanced features like the design, camera and battery.
Last May, Samsung already launched the Galaxy J3 (2017) that is exclusive only for AT&T users in the United States, and revealed the specs of the device; a 1.4Ghz quad-core CPU, 16GB storage and 2,600 mAh battery. It appears that the variant in Europe is different, as the RAM now increased to 2GB from 1.5GB, but the battery is now downgraded to 2,400 mAh.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy J5 (2017) carries a bigger 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display, with both 13MP camera at the back and front with flash. The heart of the phone is on the Exynos 7870 octa-core boasts at 1.6Ghz for multitasking experience. It has the same storage and RAM as the smaller J3 (2017) except for the 32GB variant that is set to release in Latin America and South-East Asian nations; and for the battery which is somewhat bigger at 3,000 mAh. A physical home button on the front that acts as the fingerprint sensor for unlocking the handset.

The biggest of them all, the Galaxy J7 (2017) sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with Exynos 7870 octa-core clocked at 1.6Ghz under the hood and 3GB RAM. The 16GB internal storage is quite disappointing for some people considering the price, except for those who live in South American and Asian countries wherein the 32GB variant is going to be released. Otherwise, it can be expanded up to 256GB using microSD card. The battery is now 3,600 mAh capacity, a 300 mAh more than the last year’s J7 (2016). There’s a fingerprint sensor (same as J5 2017) embedded at the home button. At the camera department lies a 13MP lens on the back, and another 13MP on the front with dedicated LED flash, good for taking selfies. It will reach the stores in many European countries by July.

All of them will have a metal uni-body design, an improvement from the predecessors. According to Samsung’s press statement on their website in the Netherlands, the Galaxy J5 (2017) will be the first to launch this June, afterwards, the Galaxy J7 (2017) in July; and the Galaxy J3 (2017) in August.
