Carmudi PH welcomes new chief: Abhishek Mohan
Abhishek Mohan, a Senior Technology executive and entrepreneur with experience at Regional head level and keen knowledge of the Asia Pacific market, has been named as Carmudi Philippines’ new Managing Director. Mohan replaces outgoing MD Subir Lohani, who is set to take over Carmudi Indonesia operations.
In his new role, Mohan will be responsible for growing the business and the industry manifold, while defining quality standards that the competition can only aspire to match. Mohan is also in charge of building Carmudi up to become a brand that becomes synonymous with anything related to vehicles.
“Carmudi Philippines is the country’s leading online vehicle marketplace,” Mohan said. “I’m excited about my new responsibilities at the company and the opportunity to help it grow not only in size, but also in national impact.”
Before joining Carmudi, Mohan was Excitor’s Regional Director for Asia and Oceania. Excitor is a Danish Mobility Solutions company whose flagship product DME (Dynamic Mobile Exchange) is a disruptive client/server solution for running applications on mobile devices, accessing mail servers, CRM and ERP systems.
As head of the company’s Asia and Oceania arm, Mohan was able to establish a regional supply base from scratch, evolving the company’s multi-region operation in record time while using start-up like resources. He was also assigned in building the Asia and Oceania markets for Soliton’s key products in addition to Excitor’s products.
Mohan holds an MBA in General Management with Electives in Corporate Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Asian Institute of Management in Manila, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with first class from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, India.
Carmudi Philippines is part of the Rocket Internet group, the multi-billion-dollar marketcap behemoth incubator out of Germany. Mohan started as Carmudi Philippine’s Managing Director on December 2015.
